Choose either a single or a double kayak for up to two hours. Head west and find a stunning view of the Seattle skyline. Marvel at the eclectic houseboats and beautiful Gasworks Park. Or paddle east through the Mountlake Cut then into the Arboretum ( a 520 closure weekend). Wander the water trails around Foster Island, through the lilly pads and under footbridges. You may catch a glimpse of resident and migratory birds such as bald eagles, great blue herons, wood ducks and grebes. Keep an eye out for beavers!
After you have worked up an appetite, head up to the cafe to enjoy a margarita or limonada with baja-inspired, healthy organic Mexican food in the cafe. Set on Portage Bay, the Cafe has views of houseboats and the Ship Canal Bridge.
